Our Story

When Hurricane Mitch devastated Central America in October of 1998, it was the deadliest storm to hit the Western Hemisphere in over 200 years. Honduras and Nicaragua were two of the nations most heavily impacted by the storm. Tragically these countries were hit again by two hurricanes in a row this past year.

Mitch served as our introduction to natural disasters and the people who risk life and limb to respond to them. After early 20 years of traveling to war zones, natural disasters, and places of wretched poverty, we have gained a profound respect for the men and women who willing spend their time and resources to help others in hard places under difficult circumstances.

Fang Protective Services was founded to serve and protect the men and women who are inspired by faith to help others.

As a nonprofit, we provide safety and security consulting services to other nonprofits on a sliding scale or pro bono.  Fang Protective Services is a constituent of the Overseas Security Council of Diplomatic Security of US State Department and has consultancy status at ECOSOC at the United Nations.
